A gray day in Manchester

Spent the day in Manchester yesterday with my trusty new D300. The more I use it, the more I love it
. It was quite apparent from early on that it was going to be another gray and uninspiring day so I canned off trying to get any killer shots for the calendar updates and decided to concentrate on doing some street photography and playing with different settings on the D300. I decided that I was just going to shoot from afar today so I popped my iPod on and got totally lost in what I was doing. I had an epic day and in 7 hours I made around 400 frames. As the day went on, I began to hope that it would start raining so that the brollies would come out, but alas no such luck. The above image was taken from the roof of the Arndale car park shooting straight down – I couldn’t spend too much time doing this as Vertigo got the better of me! The images below were taken against the side of M&S down Cross Street (I think) before I got hassled by security outside the Royal Exchange, but more on that tomorrow once I’ve got round to processing the remainder.
